Hypnotized is 14x14 inches and painted with heavy body acrylics on a deep 1.5 inch canvas. What is the first thing you look at when you gaze at a flower? For me, it’s the centers. Those hypnotic centers that hold all the fine details that are just waiting to be discovered. I wanted to create a series of very loosely painted flowers. Despite the centers being an exact swirl, the petals and background are formed from whimsical brushstrokes that go in every direction.
