With this painting I wanted to amalgamate my two favorite flowers: sunflowers and poppies. The best parts of this piece include the dark green background with pops of phthalo blue and the poppies themselves which have many layers of different reds. 12x30 inches and painted with heavy body acrylics on a deep 1.5 inch canvas.
