Is 20x30 inches and painted with heavy body acrylics on a deep 1.5 inch canvas. Woodland Retreat commemorates a creative retreat that I took in mid-2021. This down time not only influenced the creation of a novel but swayed the birth of my painting series: Trees of Sooke. Heavily influenced by the style of Leonid Afremov, it’s easy to get lost in the depths of this multicolored forest.
